8PSK: Suitable for satellite transponders driven near
saturation.
16QAM: Provides improved spectrum efficiency for linear
transponders.
L-Band Broadcast quality
output (E-1720 only)
The E-1720 provides broadcast quality 950-2150 MHz L-Band
output making it an ideal compact platform for the workhorses
of the DSNG mobile news market: up-link vans, SVVS and
flyaway packages.
DC power for BUC
(E-1720 only)
The E-1720 provides DC Power for a BUC device.
The DC Power is composed onto the output stream.
Internal and External
10Mhz Clock Reference
(E-1720 only)
The E-1720 provides an accurate 10 MHz clock reference. The
clock signal can be external or internal (Composed onto the L-
Band output).
Monitoring Output
Provides real-time local monitoring of the modulated
receive/transmit information. The L-Band monitoring output
providers monitoring with a standard set-top box.
BISS (DSNG-CA)
(option)
The E-1710/1720 supports BISS (DSNG-CA) Scrambling for
BISS MODE-1 and BISS-E type DSNG applications.
Teletext and VBI
Processing
The E-1710/1720 features Teletext and VBI processing.
Low and Ultra Latency
(Delay) Mode
The Low Delay (or low latency) Mode offers a quick end-to-end
response time to enhance two-way transmissions for DSNG and
Live Interviews and is available both at 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 DVB
standards.
The Ultra Low Delay Mode offers for 4:2:2 an ultra low end-to-
end response time of up to 150 mSec (Option).
Multi Channel Encoder
Cascading
(E-1710 option)
The E-1710 supports the cascading of multiple encoders for a
single MPTS (Multiple Program Transport Stream)-stream
output containing programs.
