1.4.1. Video Input Interfaces
The E-1710/1720 DSNG Encoders are provided with a wide range of optional
video input panels:
xComposite/SDI Video Input Panel.
xComposite/Component Video Input Panel.
1.4.1.1. Composite/SDI Video Input Panel (Option)
The Composite/SDI Video Input panel for the E-1710/1720 DSNG Encoders
provides full range of video inputs, including analog super-video (S-VHS)
interface, analog composite video (CV) interface and serial digital video interface
(SDI). Analog Teletext (and other VBI elements) is provided over CV while
digital VBI information is provided over SDI. Figure 1-8 displays the
Composite/SDI Video Input Panel.

Two derivates are also available as optional Video Input Interface panels:
SDI Video Input Panel
The SDI Video Input panel is a sub-set of the
Composite/SDI Video Input panel, where the
analog composite video interface is not provided
and the CV connector is used for analog Teletext
over CV input only.
Composite Video Input Panel
The Composite Video Input panel is a sub-set of
the Composite/SDI Video Input panel, where the
SDI interface is not provided.
