BUCKLE ADJUSTMENT
All SCOTT BUCKLES have a threaded micro adjustment as well as
the larger adjustment aorded by its toothed closure attachment.
› ADJUSTING THE BUCKLES FOR DOWNHILL SKIING: FOOT AD-
JUSTMENT: Be sure that the foot is all of the way back in the boot,
the heel securely in the heel pocket. Using the lower shell buckles,
choose a tooth that snugs the boot comfortably around the foot.
Turn the buckle’s metal rectangle clockwise (tighten) or counter-
clockwise (loosen) for fine adjustment.
› CUFF ADJUSTMENT : Choose a tooth that snugs the cu com-
fortably around the leg and buckle the cu buckle(s). Turn the
buckle’s metal rectangle clockwise (tighten) or counter-clockwise
(loosen) for fine adjustment. Then tighten the Velcro® power
strap. Flex your leg back and forth a few times to see if the buck-
les or Velcro® strap need further adjustment.
› ADJUSTING THE BUCKLES FOR WALKING : Loosen the cu
buckle(s) and clip the bail into the telescoping TOURING CLIP.
Loosen the Velcro® strap and, if you prefer, loosen the lower shell
buckles a notch, but keep them buckled to prevent excess move-
ment. Raise the cu lock mechanism’s lever on the back of the
boot (see WALKING/SKIING MODES below).
ADJUSTING CUFF DIAMETER
›
The CUFF BUCKLES are attached with threaded, hex-keyed T-nuts
that can be moved 18mm forward or back to accommodate a varie-
ty of lower leg diameters. To adjust the cu buckles for very large or
slender lower legs, remove the T-nut with the included 3mm hex key,
move the T-nut’s back toward the inside of the boot for a smaller
diameter, the outside of the boot for a larger diameter, replace the
TOURING CLIP and buckle attachment, thread the 3mm T-nut and
snug it down securely.
WALKING/SKIING MODES
All SCOTT Telemark boot’s cus have two dierent locked forward
lean positions for downhill skiing, or hinge freely for walking and
climbing.
› FOR DOWNHILL SKIING WITH THE MAXIMUM FORWARD LEAN,
flip up the rear cu lever and flex the boot forward as far as you
can, with all of your weight on that foot. Flip the lever down in that
veryflexed position, and then stand up straight in the cu until you
feel the “click” as the walk mechanism locks. Make this adjustment
one boot at a time.
› FOR DOWNHILL SKIING IN THE MORE UPRIGHT FORWARD
LEAN, stand very upright with the rear lever in the unlocked (up)
position, then flip the lever down and flex the cu forward until the
mechanism locks. It’s easiest to make this adjustment one boot at a
time.
› WALK MODE : For comfortable walking, flip the cu’s rear lever up
and LOOSEN THE CUFF BUCKLES AND POWER STRAP as much
as possible, as described above. You may want to loosen the low-
er buckles on the foot, but keep them buckled to prevent excess
movement.
