Checking and r
efilling levels
WARNING
Charging the 12-volt battery creates a highly
e
xplosive mixture of detonating gases.
●
Only charge the 12-volt battery in a well-
v
entilated place.
●
Never charge a 12-volt battery that is fro-
z
en or has thawed. When the battery is dis-
charged, it may freeze at temperatures close
to 0°C (+32°F).
●
If the 12-volt battery has frozen, have it re-
pl
aced without fail.
●
A short circuit may occur if the wires are
incorr
ectly connected to the poles. First
connect the positive cable and then the neg-
ative one.
NOTICE
●
Never connect or disconnect the 12-volt
batt
ery when the ignition is switched on or
the engine is running. Also, never use a 12-
volt battery that does not meet the vehicle's
battery specifications. The electrical system
or certain electronic components could be
damaged and electrical malfunctions could
occur.
●
Never connect accessories that supply
po
wer, such as solar panels or battery
chargers, to the 12-volt socket or cigarette
lighter, to charge the 12-volt battery. This
could damage the vehicle's electrical sys-
tem.
For the sake of the environment
●
The battery may contain toxic substances,
such as sulphuric acid and l
ead. Dispose of
the 12 volt battery in accordance with the
applicable regulations.
●
Electrolyte can contaminate the environ-
ment. If any oper
ating fluid leaks out, collect
it and dispose of it properly.
Troubleshooting

on-board network. As the battery gradually dis-
charges, switch o all electrical devices that
are not essential.
●
Switch o the ignition and any electrical con-
sumers that are not required.
