To release bonnet
, pull lever

on the
driver’s side under instrument panel. The
bonnet will then spring up slightly.
To open
, lift bonnet slightly and disen-
gage the hook

, pressing it to the side.
Lift bonnet, take rod out of clip and put
end of rod in hole provided (see right
illustration).
Note
Before opening the bonnet ensure that
the wiper arms are not lifted off the wind-
screen. Otherwise damage can occur to
the paintwork.
To close the bonnet
, lift it slightly and
unhitch the support rod, pressing it into
its clip. Let hood fall into the lock from a
height of about 30 cm.
Do not press down if it does not close
properly. Open again and allow to fall as
before.
Warning
•
For safety reasons the bonnet
must always be properly closed
when the vehicle is moving.
Always check therefore after clos-
ing the bonnet that the lock is
engaged. This is the case when
the bonnet is flush with the adja-
cent body panels.
•
If you should notice that the lock
is not engaged, stop the vehicle
immediately and close the bonnet.
