HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS
To relieve the foot on the accelerator
pedal this system can hold any speed
above around 30 km/h constant, so far as
this is permitted by engine output.
Warning
The ccruise ccontrol ssystem sshould
not bbe uused iin ddense ttraffic aand
poor rroad cconditions ((slippery ssur-
faces, aaquaplaning, ggravel).
When tthe ssystem iis sswitched oon ddo
not mmove iinto nneutral wwithout dde-
pressing tthe cclutch ppedal, ootherwise
the eengine wwill rrace aand ccan, uunder
certain ccircumstances, bbecome ddam-
aged.
Note
On vehicles with an automatic gearbox,
the Cruise Control System is only active
when the gear selector is in position

. If any other position (

) is
selected while driving, the last speed to
be stored is deleted and the system is
switched off.

turn signal/main beam lever.

.
Storing sspeed
When the speed to be maintained has
been reached the press button
B
(SET)
must be pressed briefly. The foot can then
be taken off the accelerator pedal.
The speed can also be increased in the
normal way with the accelerator pedal.
When the pedal is then released the pre-
viously programmed speed is resumed.
This however, is not the case when the
stored speed is exceeded by more than
10 km/h for a period of more than 5 min-
utes. The speed must then be stored
again.
Warning
The pprogrammed sspeed mmust oonly
be rresumed wwhen iit iis nnot ttoo hhigh
for tthe eexisting ttraffic cconditions!
