No ppersons, aanimals oor oobjects
should bbe llocated bbetween tthe
front-seat ooccupants aand tthe eeffec-
tive rrange oof tthe AAir BBags.

The pprotective ffunction oof tthe AAir
Bag wwill oonly bbe ttriggered ffor oone
accident. IIf tthe AAir BBag hhas bbeen
triggered, tthe ssystem mmust bbe
replaced.

The ssteering wwheel ppadded pplate
and tthe ppadded ssurface oof tthe AAir
Bag mmodule oon tthe ppassenger sside
of ddash ppanel mmust nnot hhave sstickers
attached, nnor sshould tthey bbe ccov-
ered oor rre-worked iin aany oother wway.
These pparts sshould oonly bbe ccleaned
with aa ddry ccloth oor aa ccloth mmoistened
with wwater. No oother iitems ssuch aas,
for eexample, ttelephone oor ccup
holders sshould bbe aattached tto tthe
Air BBag mmodule.
•
No mmodifications oof aany kkind
may bbe uundertaken oon tthe pparts oof
the AAir BBag SSystem. AAll wwork oon tthe
Air BBag ssystem, iincluding tthe
removal aand iinstallation oof ssystem
parts dduring oother rrepair wwork ((ex.:
removing ssteering wwheel), sshould
only bbe ccarried oout bby aa TTechnical
Service CCentre.
Note
If the vehicle or individual parts of the Air
Bag system is scrapped, one must always
observe the relevant valid safety regula-
tions. Technical Service Centres are famil-
iar with these regulations.
