16-2 GAME BOARD - LOCATION & REMOVAL
●When returning the gameboardafter makingrepairsorreplacements,
makesure that there are no errors in the connection of connectors. Erroneous
connectionscanleadtoelectricalshock,shortcircuitsorres.
●Whenconnectingaconnector,checkthedirectioncarefully.Connectorsmust
beconnectedinonlyonedirection.Ifindiscriminateloadsareappliedinmaking
connections,theconnectororitsterminalxturescouldbedamaged,resultingin
electricalshock,shortcircuitsorres.

GAME BOARD
There is only one access point to the GAME BD which is through the GAME BD SERVICE DOOR located at the
front of the cabinet. Unlock the GAME BD SERVICE DOOR, the GAME BD is located directly behnid the door.
Pull out the draw to improve access.
The machine is tted with Game Board Unit and several other Ancillary Boards which are tted inside the Display
Cabinet. Each machine contains the its own CPU.. Only qualied Personnel should attempt to Service these Units
and before gaining access to the machine, it should be isolated from the
mains supply

• Topreventelectric shock orICBoardmalfunctioning, be suretoturnoff the
powerforthecabinetwheninstallingorremovingtheICBoard.
• Extraneous matter such as dust on the IC Boardcan cause the IC Board to
generateheatandresultinareduetoshortcircuit,etc.EnsuretheICBoard
surfacesarealwayskeptclean.
• Keep the IC board well cooled. RINGWIDE is provided with ventilating fans.
Donotblocktheairoutletsofthesefans.Alsodonotplaceanythingclosely
toRINGWIDE.Failuretoobservetheseinstructionsmaycauseanoverheating
andre.
• AlwaysfollowtheusageconditionsfromSEGAaswellastheusageconditions
forthe cabinetyouare usingforRED ONE(UN COCH).Failureto dosomay
causeanoverheatingandre.
• Be sure to connect the IC Board and connectorscompletely. Insufcient
insertioncandamageICBoard,etc.
• FortheICBoardcircuitinspection,onlytheuseofLogicTesterispermitted.
The use of ordinary testersis not permitted as these candamage the IC
Board.

DonotsubjecttheICBoardtostaticelectricitywheninstallingtheICBoard
inthecabinetorwhenconnectingwireharnessconnectorstotheIC
Board.

Whensolderingbuttons,etc.tothewireharnesses,besuretoremovethe
wireharnessesfromtheICBoardsoasnottosubjecttheICBoardtoheat.
• Somepartsaretheonesdesignedand manufacturednot specifically
for thisproduct.The manufacturersmaydiscontinue, orchangethe
specificationsof, suchgeneral-purpose parts.Ifthis isthe case,SEGA
cannotrepairorreplaceafailedproductwhetherornotawarrantyperiod
hasexpired.
