HOW TO START YOUR CLOCK
• Slide the "POWER ON / OFF" switch to "ON" on the bottom of the clock. If there is sufficient light source, the display will show a full
segment and the time and calendar are displayed as AM 12:00 (Mountain Time) 1-1 SAT. The temperature will show "---.-˚F" after
the full segment is displayed and the temperature reading will be shown in a few seconds.
• If the clock doesn't show the time, calendar, or temperature as above, simply slide the "POWER ON / OFF" switch to "OFF" and
then set it back to "ON" position.
NOTE: Remove the clear film label over the display before the clock is used.
AUTOMATIC TIME SETTING
First reception after power-up
• The clock initializes at AM 12:00 (Mountain Time) 1-1 SAT
• The clock will search for the signal automatically after powered on. The " " tower and wave icon at the lower-right portion of the
display will start flashing to indicate the receiving status.
• If the signal is received, synchronization will take 3-15 minutes and the clock will show the received time.
• Successful reception is indicated by the " ", 3 solid waves of the tower and wave icon.
Selecting the appropriate time zone
• The " " map for the four time zones in US will be shown at the right portion of the display.
• To set the appropriate time zone, press and hold the "WAVE/SET" button until the year value flashes.
• Press the "WAVE/SET" button twice, the " " map will flash. Press "UP" or "DOWN" button to set the appropriate time zone.
• To end the time zone setting, press and hold the "WAVE/SET" button until the " " map stops flashing.
Automatic time update
• The clock will automatically start reception when it is showing the time between 2:00 ~ 6:00 am.
Manual time update
• Reception can be started any time by pressing the "WAVE/SET" button on the bottom of clock.
STANDARD TIME / DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME
The clock will change to standard time/daylight savings time automatically when the time signal is received. When time is changed to
daylight savings time, the "D.S.T" icon will be shown and time is adjusted automatically.
POOR RECEPTION
• If for some reason your clock does not set itself automatically within 24 hours, it is probably due to poor reception. This is normally
a temporary condition. Try another location in the room or move to another room. If possible, locate the clock near a window. If you
would like to set the clock manually while waiting for the automatic time setting, follow the manual time setting steps.
MANUAL SETTING INSTRUCTION
• Press and hold the "WAVE/SET" button until the year digits flash. Press "UP" or "DOWN" button to increase or decrease the year
value. Press and hold "UP" or "DOWN" button to respectively increase or decrease quickly.
• Press the "SET / WAVE" button once, the month and date digits will flash. Press "UP" or "DOWN" button to set date. The month
value will be changed automatically when start or end of the month is run through. The day will synchronize with the date
automatically.
• Press the "WAVE/SET" button twice, the hour and minute digits will flash. Press "UP" or "DOWN" button to set minute value. The
hour value will be changed automatically when "00" minute is run through.
• After setting, press the "SET / WAVE" button once to end the setting.
NON-RADIO OPERATION
• If you live in an area where the signal is not received (Alaska, Hawaii, etc) you can still use your clock by following the manual
setting instructions. It will function as a standard quartz clock.
POWER SAVING MODE
• The clock is equipped with "Power-Saving Mode" to minimize power consumption. When the clock is placed in the dark, the digital
display will be blanked automatically and only "POWER SAVE" will be shown on display. The clock itself is still running to keep
the time accurate. When the light becomes normal, the digital display will be shown again.
