Care
of

Tero Setting
Hold
the
meter
upright
a
nd
cover
the Lumisphere
with
the
palm
of
your
ha nd
so as
to shut out
all
the
light.
The indicating
needle
should
point
to zero. lf the
ne-
edle is
slightly
off, reset the
needle
to zero
by slowly
turning
with a coin
or
perforated
slide
the screw
on
the
meter's
nameplate,
on the back of the meter.

Under
very
bright lighting
conditions
when
the
sekonic
meter
is
used
without
a slide,
a
littte
light
may
enter
through
tlre
slide
slot.
This
seldom
effects
exposure,
but
for
the
sake
of
higher
fidelity
it is
best
to
shade
this
slot
with
your
hand.

Other
Precautions
Your
Sekonic
studio
Deluxe
is
a
highly
accurate
a
nd
def icate
electrical
instrument.
With
ordinary
care
and
handling,
horr.rever,
it
will
give
long
reliabte
service.
Naturally,
it
shouldn't
be opened
or
taken
apart,
and
since
it
isn't
shockproof,
the meter
shouldn't
be dropped
or roughly
handled.
lt is
important
to
keep
the
Lumi-
sphere
clea
n.
Slight scratches
on the Lumisphere
are
not harmful
except that
they
collect
dirt
and
therefore
rn
ay sliehtly
reduce light
tra
nsmission
a
nd effect the
meter's
accuracy.
The
Lumisphere
should
be washed
lvith
soap
and
lukewarnr
water.
lt
may
yellow
slightly
with ?g€,
but
this
h
as
no ef fect on the
meter's
exposure
reading.
The
H
IGH
Slide may
be
bent
convexly
so that
it
will fit
the
meter tightly.
Protect
your
Sekonic Studio
Deluxe
from
extreme
heat
or
humidity.
Avoid keeping
it
in
yoLrr
car's
glove
compartment
when the
weather
is
hot.

Should
your
Sekonic meter
require
repa
ir,
return
it
to
one
of the
official
Sekonic
Service
Stations.
For ship-
ping,
it should be
packed
in
a corrugated
box
with its
own
ca se a
nd
with
excelsior.
