Overview

This document describes the SENCOR SFH 8050SL convection heater, a device designed for household and office use, providing warmth through hot air circulation. The heater is intended for use in well-insulated areas or for infrequent heating needs.

Function Description

The SENCOR SFH 8050SL operates as a convection heater, drawing in cool air, heating it, and then releasing warm air into the room. It offers multiple operating modes to suit different heating requirements. Users can select between fan-only mode (without heating elements), hot air function with 1000 W input, or hot air function with 2000 W input for more powerful heating. The device is equipped with a thermostat knob that allows for precise temperature control, enabling the user to set and maintain a desired room temperature. Once the desired temperature is reached, the heater will cycle on and off to maintain it, with the heating indicator light illuminating when the heating elements are active. For improved air distribution, the heater also features an oscillation function, which can be activated or deactivated with a dedicated button, allowing the unit to rotate and spread warm air more evenly across the room.

Usage Features

To operate the SENCOR SFH 8050SL, first ensure it is placed on a stable and even surface, maintaining a clear space of at least 100 cm in front and 50 cm behind the appliance to ensure sufficient air circulation. It should not be placed directly underneath a power socket or near flammable materials such as furniture, curtains, or drapes. The appliance is not designed for wall mounting. Once properly positioned, insert the power plug into a power socket. To turn on the heater, set the main power switch to position "I". Then, use the operating mode selection knob to choose the desired heating level (1000 W or 2000 W hot air, or fan-only mode). The thermostat knob allows you to set the desired room temperature; for faster heating, it is recommended to set both the operating mode to "II" (2000 W) and the thermostat to maximum. Once the room reaches the desired temperature, you can switch to a lower operating mode ("I" for 1000 W) and adjust the thermostat accordingly. The heating indicator light will signal when the heating elements are active. To enhance heat distribution, press the oscillation button to activate the oscillating function. To turn off the heater, set the operating mode knob to "0", turn the thermostat anticlockwise to "MIN", and set the main power switch to "0" before unplugging the device from the power socket.

The heater incorporates important safety features. It is equipped with a double thermal protection system, including a resettable thermal fuse and a non-resettable thermal fuse. If the appliance overheats, the resettable fuse will activate, turning off the heater. In such an event, the user should turn off all controls, unplug the device, and allow it to cool down. Once cooled, the resettable fuse will deactivate, and the heater can be put back into operation. If the non-resettable thermal fuse activates (indicating a failure of the primary protection), the heater will turn off permanently, and an authorized service center must be contacted.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential to ensure the longevity and safe operation of the SENCOR SFH 8050SL. Before any cleaning, always disconnect the power plug from the power socket and allow the appliance to cool down completely. The appliance should be kept clean to prevent dust accumulation inside. For cleaning the outer surface, use a clean, dry cloth. A vacuum cleaner can also be used to remove dust from the exterior. It is crucial not to use abrasive cleaning products, solvents, or any other substances that could damage the appliance. Never submerge the appliance, its power cord, or power plug in water or any other liquid, and avoid wiping it with a wet cloth, to prevent the risk of electrical shock. Do not attempt to repair the appliance or make any adjustments yourself; all repairs and adjustments should be performed by an authorized service center. Tampering with the appliance may void your warranty rights. When storing the appliance for an extended period, ensure it is clean and dry, then disconnect it from the power socket and allow it to cool. Store the heater in a dry, clean, and well-ventilated location, away from extreme temperatures and out of reach of children.
