Overview

This document describes the SENCOR SHD 8200GD hair dryer, a device designed for household use.

Function Description:

The SENCOR SHD 8200GD is a hair dryer primarily used for drying hair. It features adjustable temperature and speed settings to cater to different hair types and styling needs. The appliance includes a cold air button for setting hairstyles, a removable air concentrator for focused airflow, and a diffuser for natural drying and added volume. The hair dryer is equipped with Keratin PRO+ technology, suggesting features aimed at protecting hair during drying.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Rated voltage range: 220-240 V~
  • Rated frequency: 50/60 Hz
  • Rated power input: 2,000 W - 2,400 W
  • Noise level: 80.5 dB(A) (A-weighted acoustic power level relative to 1 pW)
  • Safety class: Class II (Electrical shock protection provided by double or heavy-duty insulation)

Usage Features:

Before first use, users should unpack the appliance, remove all promotional labels, and check for any damage. The power plug should be inserted into a power socket with a matching voltage.

The hair dryer offers three temperature settings: lowest, medium, and maximum, controlled by a temperature toggle switch (A3). It also has two speed levels (1st and 2nd speed level), in addition to an "off" state, controlled by a speed toggle switch (A4).

To use, first select the desired temperature, then switch the hair dryer to the desired speed level. To turn off the hair dryer completely, set the temperature toggle switch to the "off" position.

For best results, it is recommended to wash hair with shampoo, towel-dry to reduce excessive moisture, and comb before using the dryer. Using a conditioner or hair lotion can further simplify combing and drying.

The cold air button (A2) can be used at any power level to fix a hairstyle after drying with hot air. This button must be held down continuously, as releasing it will resume hot air flow.

The removable air concentrator (A1) can be attached to the exhaust opening to focus the air current for precise styling.

The diffuser (A9) is used for natural hair drying and to add volume. For greater volume, users can style their hair with their fingers while drying.

A hanging loop (A5) is provided for convenient storage or temporary hanging during use.

Maintenance Features:

Before cleaning, the appliance must be disconnected from the power socket and allowed to cool down completely. Abrasive cleaning products, solvents, or washing in a dishwasher are not to be used. The appliance, power cord, or power plug should never be submerged in water or any other liquid to prevent electrical shock.

The outer parts of the appliance should be cleaned with a soft cloth dipped in lukewarm water.

Regular cleaning of the air inflow grille is recommended, as hair often gets drawn inside. To clean, turn to remove the inflow grille (located at the back of the hair dryer), clean the internal space, and then reattach the grille. Ensure the grille is completely dry before reattaching.

When storing the appliance for an extended period, disconnect it from the power socket, allow it to cool, and clean it according to the instructions. Ensure the appliance and all accessories are thoroughly clean and dry before storage. Store in a dry, clean, well-ventilated location away from extreme temperatures and out of children's reach. The power cord should never be wound around the hair dryer unit.
