If the sensor is blocked by dust, snow or ice, it may cause the
parking assist system to issue a false warning signal.
After the vehicle is started, when you put the shift knob in the
“R” position to reverse, the rear sensor will be automatically
activated. If the buzzer function is turned on, the audible
warning signal will be activated when the vehicle is 1.5 m
away from the rear object.
After the vehicle is started, and the vehicle speed is
below approximately 4.8 km/h, the sensor will be
activated.
The parking sensor may not work properly in the
following situations:
● One or more parking sensors are damaged, dirty or covered
(such as mud, ice or snow).
● The position of the object is less than about 20cm (such as a
shoulder stone or low obstruction).
● Weather factors (heavy rain, snow or fog) interfere with the
operation of the sensor.
● The object is too thin (such as a sign).
● The detection range of the sensor has been exceeded.
● The object is sound-absorbing or soft (such as powdery snow).
● The object is inclined (such as a sloping embankment).
● The vehicle is parked or driving in extremely hot or cold
temperatures.
● The sensor is affected by other electrical equipment or devices
that produce ultrasonic waves.
● The object is too close to the bumper.
● The bumper is not aligned or damaged.
● Objects (such as bicycle racks or bumper stickers) installed on
the vehicle that interfere with or obstruct the sensor.
