  If your Severn Trent Plumbing Product has insufficient ejector vacuum, it might be due to several reasons. First, check if the Y-strainer in the water supply is dirty and clean it. Also, the supply pressure or back pressure might be too low or high; in this case, open the solution valve, clean the solution line, and correct the backpressure condition. If the velocity is too low, increase the pressure to the ejector. Finally, inspect Nozzle 1 for flow restrictions or damage and clean the nozzle and/or throat. Make sure the nozzle size is correct and properly installed.

  If the flow meter of your Severn Trent Plumbing Product is flooded, the issue might be due to dirt on the ejector o-ring; clean or replace it. Another cause might be a worn or damaged diaphragm, which you should replace. For improper applications, consult bulletin 123.3001 for hydraulic considerations. Also you can use a slow acting solenoid valve, or extend the vacuum line at the ejector a few feet above the ejector to allow the water to empty the next time the ejector is placed in service.
