Useful adjustment settings
Voluntary movie rating system (MPAA)
Press MENU to display the MENU screen, and
then press 4/1_ to select "Setup".
Press A/V to select "Parental CTRL", and
then press ENTER.
• Thesecret number setting menudisplaysonly
when "Secret No." is set. (Seepage 43.)
• "V-Chip"and "Status" will not be selectablefrom
the menuif you do not first configureyour secret
number. (Seepage 43.)
Input the 4-digit secret number by using 0-9.
Press A/V to select "V-Chip", and then press
ENTER.

Press A/V to select "MPAA", and then press
ENTER.
Press A/T to adjust the item to your desired
position. "_" indicates the item is blocked.
Press RETURN.
• The setting automatically enters "Block" for any
ratings below your selection.
• IfStatus is not set to "On", the configuration
settings will not work. (See page 43.)

Repeat steps 1 to 4 in Voluntary movie

Press A/V to select "TV Guidelines", and
then press ENTER.
Press A/T to adjust the item to your desired
position. "_" indicates the item is blocked.
• The setting automatically enters "Block" for any
ratings below your selection.
Example
When setting an individual content-based
rating item, do as follows:
(1._Press I1_or ENTER to access blocked
content items from the currently selected
age-based rating item.
(9 Press A/T to select an individual item,
and then press ENTER to unblock it ("_"
is removed). Repeat the same steps for the
other items.
(3_ Press 4 or RETURN to register after all
individual content rating items are set.
Example
