The quali ty and co n dition of the ca ssett e t ape s used will directly affect the pe rformance of this un it.
• Use only well-k nown brands of tap e_
• The use of C-90 (90 mi nutes ) and C- 120 ( 120 mi nut es) cassettes is not recommended. The extr e me thinness of the
tape may result in breakage or oth er prob l ems .
• PROTECTION AGAINST CASSETTE TAPE ERASURE
Al I casse tte tapes are provi ded with tabs, which allow tape erasure to be performed.
If th ese tabs are removed, no tape erasure is possible because th e RECORD (•) bu tton cannot be depressed.
To protect the "A" side of casse tte tap e, break off the "A" side tab wi th a screwdr iv er.
Follow the same procedure for th e "B" side.

Not e: Check to ensure there are no loose layers of tape visible through the casse tt e center wi ndow or open end.
Tighten these
loose layers with a pcmcil or ball·point pen before ins erti ng the cassette into · the un i t.
