Compact
discs
are
fairly
resistant
to
damage,
however
mis-
tracking
can
occur
due
to
an
accumulation
of
dirt
on
the
disc surface.
Follow
the
guidelines
below
for
maximum
enjoyment
from
your
CD
collection
and
player.

Do
not
write
on
either
side
of
the
disc,
particularly
the
non-label
side.
Signals
are
read
from
the
non-label
side.
Do
not
mark
this
surface.

Keep
your
discs
away
from
direct
sunlight,
heat,
and
excessive
moisture.
@
Always
hold
the
CDs
by
ihe
edges.
Fingerprints,
dirt,
or
water
on
the
CDs
can
cause
noise
or
mistracking.
If
a
CD
is
dirty
or
does
not
play
properly,
clean
it
with
a
soft,
dry
cloth,
wiping
straight
out
from
the
centre,
along
the
radius.

the
POWER
switch
to
ON.

Press
the
CD
button.

Press
the
OPEN/CLOSE
button
to
open
the
disc
tray.

Place
a
disc
on
the
tray,
label
side
up.

Be
sure
to
place
the
8
cm
(3")
disc
in
the
middle
of
the
table.

press
the
PLAY
button
to
close
the
disc
tray
and
begin
playback
from
track
1.

The
"®’
indicator
will
appear
and
playback
will
begin.
@
When
a
disc
is
placed
on
the
disc
tray
and
the
disc
tray
is
closed
by
either
pressing
the
OPEN/CLOSE
button
or
lightly
pushing
on
the
front
of
the
disc
tray,
the
total
num-
ber
of
tracks
and
the
total
playing
time
will
be
displayed
for
several
seconds.
To
interrupt
playback:
Press the PAUSE button.

The
"IN"
indicator
will
light
up.
Press
the
PLAY
button
to
resume
playback
from
the
same
point.
To stop playback:
Press the STOP button.
To
switch
the
unit
off
after
use:
Set
the
POWER
switch
to
STAND-BY.
Note:
if
ihe
function
selector
button
is
set
to
TUNER,
the
CD
player
will not function.
