To select a previous track number:
While in the stop mode, move the M button toward 5 once.
To select a following track number:
While in the stop mode, move the M button toward 4 once.
■ Cue and Review
For audible fast forward
During playback, move the M button toward 4 and hold.
For audible fast reverse
During playback, move the M button toward 5 and hold.
Performing these operations while playback is paused allows
you to search tracks faster than during playback.
■ Random/repeat playback
During playback, press the MODE button repeatedly to select
the playback mode.
Random playback (RANDOM)
When the group mode is selected (“GROUP” lights up), tracks are
played back at random within a group and playback stops auto-
matically after all tracks are ended.
When the group mode is canceled (“GROUP” goes off), play-
back stops automatically, after all tracks are played back at ran-
dom.
Random repeat playback (RANDOM

When the group mode is selected (“GROUP” lights up), tracks
are played back at random within a group and groups are
played in order repeatedly.
When the group mode is canceled (“GROUP” goes off), all
tracks are played back at random and repeatedly.

When the group mode is selected (“GROUP” lights up), tracks
are played back by the group repeatedly.
When the group mode is canceled (“GROUP” goes off), all
tracks are played back repeatedly in order.

When the group mode is selected (“GROUP” lights up), the se-
lected group is played back repeatedly.
When a group mode is canceled (“GROUP” goes of), the se-
lected track is played back repeatedly.
■ Intro play
While the playback is stopped or paused, move the M button toward
06 and hold for 2 seconds or more.
To return to normal playback:
Move the M button toward 06 .
■ Audible double-speed playback
A MiniDisc recorded in the monaural mode can be played back
at double speed audibly.

During playback, press the M button.
The unit enters the menu select mode.
2.
Move the M button toward 5 or 4 to select “F (FAST)” and
press it.
3.
Move the M button toward 5 or 4 to select “F (FAST)” and
press it.

Select the menu within 25 seconds.

If you press the CLEAR button during operation, the previous
display appears.
●
To cancel the operation, move the M button toward .
To return to normal-speed playback,:
Select “N (NORMAL)” in step 3 and press the M button.

■ Synchronous recording
This function detects sound from the connected equipment and
automatically starts or interrupts recording.
1.
Hold down the REC button for 2 seconds or more.
2.
To perform group recording, hold down the GROUP button for 1
second or more. “GROUP” will appear.
If you do not record tracks by the group, hold down the GROUP
button for 1 second or more to extinguish “GROUP”.
3. Start playback on the connected equipment.
