CONGRATULATIONS ON
YOUR NEW REVEL HAIR
MULTI-STYLER.
TROUBLESHOOTING
ALCI OPERATION
ELECTRICITY FLICKERS OR TRIPS
CIRCUIT BREAKER DURING USE.
This dryer is equipped with an Appliance Leakage Circuit interrupter (ALCI), a safety feature that
renders it inoperable under abnormal conditions. Should the dryer turn off in use, press the red Reset
button on the plug and the dryer should function normally. If the dryer does not reset, please check
your circuit breaker. If the issue persists, ensure there are no other appliances plugged in within the
room where the dryer is being used. Do not use the dryer with a power strip.
WARNING: Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative or that
the appliance has no user serviceable parts.
If you must use your hair multi-styler in the bathroom, install a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)
now! A GFCI is a sensitive device designed to react immediately to electric current leaks and stop the
flow of electricity. Your local electrician can help you decide which type is best for you – a portable
unit that plugs into an electrical outlet or a permanent unit installed by an electrician. The National
Electrical Code (NEC) requires GFCIs in bathrooms, garages, and outdoor outlets of all new homes.
Why do you need a GFCI?
Electricity and water don’t mix. If a hair multi-styler falls into water while plugged
in, the electric shock can kill you – even if the hair multi-styler is switched off. A
regular fuse or circuit breaker will not protect you under these circumstances.
A GFCI provides far greater protection.
A GFCI can save your life! The price is well worth it.
Don’t wait. Install a GFCI now!
*GFCI is a sensitive device which reacts immediately to a small electric current leak by stopping the
electricity flow.
