4.5 Tube Arm Operations
4.5.1 Tube Arm Lock
“Tube Arm Lock” is the position where the tube arm and the system are coupled
at the tube arm joint section.
When making X-ray exposures, release the “Tube Arm Lock” to move the X-ray
tube assembly to the filming position. Releasing the “Tube Arm Lock” enables
rotation, extension, contraction, and the up and down movements of the tube
arm.
WARNING
The system may become unstable if the tube arm is rotated, extended,
contracted, or moved up/down while on a slope greater than 5 degrees.
Do not release the Tube Arm Lock if the slope is greater than 5 degrees.
How to release the “Tube Arm Lock”
The following three methods are available to release the lock:
• Lift up the X-ray tube assembly while pressing down the “Tube arm
