Teach-in process Application Specific Threshold
1. Starting the wizard:
Select the option Application Specific Threshold in the installation wizard. Confirm
with Next

2. Reference teach-in:
Adaptation of the MLG-2 configuration to range and ambient conditions with free
light path using teach-in. Once the teach-in has been completed, ensure that no
further changes are made to the setup, otherwise the process will have to be
restarted.
3. Application situation
Selection between the following modes:
°
Two partially transparent materials
Detection of the higher damping material. Two materials are taught in and the
switching threshold is defined between the two materials.
°
Partially transparent material vs. free light path
Detection of partially transparent material. Only one material is taught in. The
threshold value is set so that the material is detected relative to a free light
path.
°
Partially transparent material vs. blocked light path
Partially transparent material is not detected. Only one material is taught in.
The threshold value is set so that the material is not detected. Only highly
damping materials are detected.
Confirm the selection with Next.
