  If the touchscreen on your Siemens Healthineers Monitor is black and won't turn on, ensure that both power ports of the console unit (base and upper portion) are plugged in, and wait up to five minutes. If that doesn't work, try activating the screen by pressing the iPad mini® home button on the right side. You can also try restarting the iPad mini® by pressing and holding the power button on the top left side of the console unit.

Why can't patient see video or timer on Siemens Healthineers MAGNETOM Monitor?

  If a patient cannot see the video entertainment or the timer on the Siemens Healthineers Monitor, ensure the mirror arch is pulled out and correctly positioned. The timer is located in the top right corner of the display, and an improperly angled mirror may obstruct the view. Also, verify that the video path (console unit, both video bridges, and PPD) is plugged in, turned on, and that no battery indicator lights are illuminated. The upper right corner of the touchscreen should display a charging symbol to confirm power. Finally, check that the video bridges all have solid blue wireless indicator lights.

  To resolve audio issues on the Siemens Healthineers Monitor, ensure the audio path is turned on (console unit, both audio bridges, and one pillow) and no battery indicator lights are illuminated. Make sure only one pillow is powered on at a time, and the pillow not in use is turned off. Check the connection status between audio components, ensuring the wireless indicator lights are solid blue on the console unit, audio bridges, and the pillow in use. For audio communication issues, confirm the cable for the intercom interface box is connected to the MR system's intercom and that the intercom interface box is powered on.

  If you suspect the Innovision Audio or Innovision Display systems are causing signal-to-noise ratio degradation in MR images, perform an RF noise evaluation both with and without these systems. Place the QA phantom at isocenter and run the RF Noise sequence (SequenceRegion >SiemensSequences > RFNoise or: Dot-Cockpit-Explorer > Browse > Default > Sequence Region > Service Sequences > RF Noise). Load the resulting images into the Mean Curve application, draw a large rectangular region covering the complete image, and evaluate the mean noise.
