3.2 Mounting the device
3.2.1 Notes on installation
Before installing the device, please ensure that the installation location complies with the
following:
Use according to IEC 61010-2-201 requires an appropriate enclosure
The rear of the built-in device is classified as "Open Equipment" according to
IEC 61010-2-201 for use in industrial control equipment.
For approval and operation according to IEC 61010-2-201, the device must be installed in
an enclosure or integrated in a cabinet. The enclosure or the cabinet must provide
protection against electric shock and the spread of fire. The enclosure or the cabinet must
meet the requirements for mechanical strength and the degree of protection for the relevant
application.
● Position the device so that it is not exposed to direct sunlight.
● Position the device so that it is easily accessible for the operator. Choose a suitable
installation height.
● Ensure that the air vents of the device are not covered as a result of installation.
● Observe the permitted mounting positions (Page 30).
