Many sonographers have a Bachelor's degree;

Performs invasive and non-invasive
ultrasound exams
Interprets exam data, including
echocardiography exam data
Writes and assembles exam findings in
a report

Expert in diagnostic imaging, including computed
tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging
(MRI), X-ray, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine
Advanced training in imaging physics with typically
four to six years of post-doctoral training in the field
of cardiology
