◆ Ensure the patient’s head is safely stabilized.
◆ Turn the patient’s head to the right or left as required for the examination.
❏ The scale indicates the angle in degrees ”°”.
◆ Tighten the cap screw (4).
◆ Ensure that the patient is comfortable and properly stabilized.
Removal ◆ Move the patient table to the horizontal position.
◆ Loosen the cap screw (4).
◆ Turn the patient’s head to the 0 ° position.
◆ Open the stabilizing arms using the cap screws (5).
◆ Assist the patient in removing his/her head from the support.
◆ Assist the patient in stepping down from the patient table.
◆ Loosen the cap screws (1).
◆ Remove the head support from the accessory rails.
Warning
To avoid injury to the patient’s head, ensure that the stabilizing arms are opened
sufficiently and that the cap screws (5) are not tightened too much prior to po-
sitioning the patient’s head in the support.
