5.1 Note on operation

Closing the front panels
To ensure interference-free operation, keep the front panels of the module closed during
operation.
5.2 Diagnostics
Diagnostics options
You have the following diagnostics options available for the module:
● The LEDs of the module
For information on the LED displays, refer to the section LEDs (Page 12).
● STEP 7: The "Diagn
ostics" tab in the Inspector window
Here, you can obtain the following information on the selected module:
– Entries in the diagnostics buffer of the CPU
– Information on the online status of the module
● STEP 7: Diagnostics functions in the "Online > Online and diagnostics" menu
Here, you can obtain static information on the selected module:
– General information on the module
– Diagnostics status
– Information about the PROFIBUS interface:
- Settings
- Statistics
- Node list with PROFIBUS address and response on PROFIBUS
