1. Switch on measuring mode on one of the two Hicom cordless 150 E mobile telephones (see
Section 12.5.2).
Set up an internal call between both mobile telephones.
2. The mobile telephone subscriber should start to move around the area covered by the radio.
Check that an adequate field strength value (> 80) has been attained. The range warning
feature on the mobile telephones can be used for this purpose (see page 12-21).
Areas in the corners of buildings or behind metal structures should be carefully checked
(check the RSSI values several times).

3. The measuring sites with RSSI value < 80 should be entered or marked in the building / site
plan.
When pacing through the radio area, a warning tone (range warning) is issued when the range
has been overstepped (border zone of the radio range). In these border zones (RSSI value 60 to
80 and lower), a loss of the radio connection to the base station could occur.
