The Run LED blinks briefly a number of times or the idle bar appears on the CBMOD / CBFC
to indicate that a CDB backup of the system is in progress. This procedure lasts approx. 30 s.
The CDB (customer database), including call data and activated features, is saved for
approximately 100 hours in the event of a power failure.
If you are using an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), system operation is maintained for a
certain period of time in the event of a power failure.
A backup of the CDB is carried out once a day (at midnight, system time). To do this, the CDB
is first copied to main memory. You cannot make any changes to the CDB during this period,
i.e. access to the CDB is denied for local and remote administration as well as for Plus products
(lockout time is approx. 30 mins.). The copied area is then transferred to the flash memory card
(this is time-intensive and may take more than 20 seconds, depending on load). After the data
has been written, the checksum of the CDB on the flash memory card is generated and
compared to the checksum in main memory. If an error occurs, the backup procedure is
repeated 3 times. If the backup is unsuccessful, an error entry is made.
A CDB backup is not performed when:
the flash memory card's memory capacity is too small
the time is also 0:00 after reloading the system.
a new APS is stored in the free block on the flash memory card (memory assigned).
