You can initiate the following actions by holding down the reset key on the CBMOD board for
different lengths of time.
Press the reset key briefly to perform a system hard restart. The green LED (located just
beneath the seven-segment display) lights up when you press the reset key.
When you hold down the key for more than 5 seconds, the green LED goes out and a reload is
triggered. This resets the entire CDB to basic status. All country and customer-specific settings
are thus deleted.

Disabling and enabling ports
Ports on analog line boards can be disabled in the outgoing direction and ports on digital line boards
in the outgoing and incoming directions by means of a switch. In the case of subscriber line modules,
only the entire board can be disabled. Disabling the board prevents the line from being reseized once
the current call has ended.
The "release external trunks" feature enables you to interrupt an existing line connection.
13.3.6.3 Error correction with Hicom Assistant E
Restart
When the Hicom Assistant E initiates a restart, the system software generates an error reserved for
this purpose. The restart takes place immediately.
Loading boards
Hicom Assistant E supports the selective resetting of boards with peripheral software. After the
peripheral software is loaded, the system automatically downloads the data for the board.
Hicom Assistant E supports the loading of data onto boards. When data belonging to the (port or
card-oriented) download data record changes, a download is initiated to all assigned boards.
