The term Outgoing refers to the automatic setup of a connection between Hicom 150 E Office and
Hicom Assistant E. This can either be initiated by Hicom Assistant E (callback) or, in the case of an
error, by the system itself (error signalling). Outgoing can be executed both via the integrated digital
modem (B channel) and the integrated analog modem (IMOD).
The Callback feature represents a new access option in the system in addition to "Logon without/with
code" and "Release procedure".
Using the error signalling feature, the system automatically registers any class B errors that occur at
a remote centre.
Settings for the callback feature in system administration
To activate callback, the following settings must be made in the Hicom 150 E Office system
administration:
ISDN access, CO -> Callback (302)
Other accesses -> Callback (303)
System administration -> Remote administration -> Callback connection ->
Call No. (3071)
(for items 1-6)
-> "Access code" (3072)
"X.75 protocol" (3073)
Six different callback numbers can be used with the appropriate max. 6-digit access code on the basis
of items 1-6, the callback indexes. The X.75 protocol can be used (yes/no) depending on the item. If it
is used (yes), the callback is performed via the digital modem (B channel). Otherwise (no), the
callback is performed via the analog modem (IMOD).
Activating the callback feature in Hicom Assistant E
Click the "Activate callback" button
Specify the callback index (1-6)
Enter the PIN code for the relevant callback index
Once all settings have been made, Hicom Assistant E can start to dial into the system. The system
registers the callback request, stores the callback index and the connection is set up again.
After 10 s, Hicom 150 E Office initiates the callback with the callback number linked via the callback
index and stored in the database. The system can be administered via Hicom Assistant E as soon as
the connection is set up.
If the callback number is busy or incorrect, Hicom 150 E Office makes a total of 20 connection
attempts at intervals of 10 seconds. The callback version is then ended and must be restarted via
Hicom Assistant E.
Error signalling process
Error signalling is triggered by a class B error that occurs in the Hicom 150 E Office system. No
connection is cleared down if there is no call number stored in callback index 1. If there is a call
number in callback index 1 (with the appropriate additional specifications, see also "Callback"), the
connection is set up to a remote centre with the appropriate call number .
An error message cannot be registered unless the Hicom Assistant E system dialled is already
