System variants
The Hicom 150 E Office single-product line consists of the following models, which can cover the
needs of a wide range of customers, as far as the number of subscriber lines is concerned:
Hicom 150 E OfficePro, which consists of a basic cabinet and up to 2 expansion cabinets for
up to 250 subscriber line circuits, is the most powerful and comprehensive system in the
product line.
Hicom 150 E OfficeCom, which has up to 92 subscriber line circuits, is a PBX for medium
capacity requirements. The very compact one-cabinet system with an integrated MDFU is
designed for mounting on the wall.
Hicom 150 E OfficePoint has a total of 20 subscriber line circuits. Mechanically, it is a smaller
version of the Hicom 150 E OfficeCom.
Hicom 150 E OfficeOne is one of the smallest systems in the product line. The single-board
model offers a capacity of 12 subscriber line circuits and 2 digital trunk connections. The power
is supplied via an external plug-type AC adapter.

2.3 Design
2.3.1 Design of Hicom 150 E OfficePro
Three variants
Depending on requirements, Hicom 150 E OfficePro can be used as:
a one-cabinet system (BC)
a two-cabinet system (BC + EC1)
a three-cabinet system (BC + EC1 + EC2)
Configuration notes
The basic cabinet (BC) and expansion cabinet 1 (EC1) have the same design. Expansion cabinet 2
(EC2) differs from the other two cabinets in that there is no terminal resistance.
Up to two cabinets can be stacked. Six slots in each cabinet (slots 2-7) are available for peripheral
boards. Fixed slots are assigned to the PSUI power supply unit (in all cabinets), CBMOD control
board (BC only) and the CONBO board (EC2 only). A main distribution frame (MDFU/MDFU-E) is
needed to complete the communication system.
