7.1.9 Enquiry
Definition
When engaged in internal and external calls, you can use the enquiry feature to set up another call to
internal or external destinations.
The enquiry call ends when you retrieve the held call. If you end the call by hanging up or
disconnecting the line, the held call will be transferred or an immediate recall will occur.
If you place an external call on hold and set up another external enquiry call, you must begin a
transfer on the optiset E terminal if you want to connect the two calls with each other.
Analog terminals can connect external calls to external extensions by means of the conference feature.

Redial You can use the redial feature even while engaged in an enquiry call.
Do not disturb It is not possible to set up an enquiry call to a busy subscriber who has activated do
not disturb.
DTMF mode Initiating an enquiry call will deactivate DTMF mode if it is active.

1. Set up a call.
2. Initiate enquiry.
3. Set up a second call.
4. Terminate the second call.
5. Terminate enquiry by resuming the first call.
