7.2.9 Hunt Group (SA)
Definition
Hunt groups enable you to implement a call distribution cycle within a subscriber group. These
extensions are linked to one another in such a way that a call directed to any group member that is
busy or does not answer is automatically forwarded to the next available extension within the group.
The following selection variants are available for selecting the group member:
Circular selection. The search always begins with the first extension following the extension
last selected. If the call is not answered, it is automatically forwarded to the next extension after
a timeout (CFNA with timeout in call mangement).
Linear Selection. When a call arrives, the search always begins with the first extension in the
group.
The extensions can be reached either under a specific hunt group number or under the user`s own
extension number, depending on the hunt group type selected.
Hunt groups are implemented via call management.
