If no additional digits are entered within a certain period of time (timer), the last digit to be entered is
interpreted as the last digit in the extension number block.
When the timer has expire, i.e. when the last dialled digit has been detected, the dialling operation is
automatically performed. The dialling operation can also be initiated manually by entering the
end-of-dialling code "#".
