7.8 Features for internal traffic
7.8.1 Internal Traffic
Definition
Internal traffic is the setting up of connections between one internal extension and another internal
extension. If the system features Prime Line on, an internal call is set up on optiset E terminals using
the `Extension' key.
If Prime Line on has not been programmed, an internal call is set up by dialling the internal extension
number.

7.8.2 Direct Station Selection
Definition
The programmable keys on the optiset E terminal (or on the add-on console) can also be programmed
as DSS keys. In this case, the keys provided are programmed with the number of an internal extension
or of an extension group. When you press one of these keys, a direct call to the destination extension
is generated (direct station selection). The call status (ringing, busy, free) of the particular extension is
indicated by the associated LED.
