8.11 Announcement before answering (on analog
port)
Introduction
In many cases, an announcement before answering is configured in order to relieve an intercept
extension. For this purpose, an announcement device is connected that is capable of answering an
incoming call and forwarding it to a specific extension.
This feature is configured by means of call management.
The subscriber ports to which an announcement device is connected must be configured as
answering machines.
Example
An announcement device is to be connected to the hunt group with extension number 450
(extensions 224 and 225).
All external incoming calls are first to be answered by the announcement device.
