Each KNX device in a KNX installation is assigned an unambiguous and unique number, the
physical address. This address consists of three numbers separated by periods:
● The first number is the number of the area in which the associated participant is located
● The second number is that of the line
● The third number is a consecutive number within the line
Sensors record, inter alia, physical measured variables such as pressure, temperature,
humidity or brightness, and pass on this information over the KNX bus.
