To prevent skin irritations, the PERU has to be located in the
application cushion during the examination.
(1) Application cushion
(2) Respiratory cushion with pressure hose
(3) Respiratory belt
Because of the PERU shape, the application cushion looks different for
PERU version 1.
The respiratory cushion is attached to the patient using the
respiratory belt.
The PPU acquires the patient's peripheral pulse. It consists of a
transmitter unit, a fiber-optic sensor (finger clip for version 1) and a
removable finger adapter (only for version 2; available in different
sizes).
