Quality Control Manual Tests 9
Perform the annual acceptance tests, except theBeam quality (HVL) test, of the Quality
Control Manual (Part of the User Manual SPB7-250.620...) and fill out the Test Protocol
(part of the Quality Control Manual) accordingly.
Remarks to the Quality Control tests:
• Tube voltage measurement & reproducibility
The Quality Control manual suggests to use a non-invasive kV meter. If you don’t have
such a measurement device in your district office, use a scope to measure the kV.
Connect the oscilloscope as follows:
Channel 1 to measuring point HV_ACT
(actual value) (1 V = 5 kV) on the D750.
• Beam quality (HVL)
The HVL values are supplied with the system and don’t have to be measured again with
the first installation of the system. You need the HVL for the Mean glandular dose test,
and you can find them in the binder ...
• "QC Raw" and "QC Processed" procedures
To do the QC manual the QC Raw and the QC Processed procedures are necessary.
1. Check if both procedures exist in the WH AWS application software.
Options -> Configuration -> Proc Hand
If they don’t exist you have to create them as follows:
2. Add the QC Raw procedure with the following parameters in the Proc Hand
application:
Projection Views: Add 10 R-CCs
Examination Operating Program: CalibrationOP
Examination purpose: Calibration
3. Add the QC Processed procedure with the following parameters in the Proc
Hand application:
Projection Views: Add 10 R-CCs
Examination Operating Program: CalibrationOP
Examination purpose: Screening
Other issues
You’ll find the Quality Control documentation in the Instruction for Use binder. It is
shipped with the system.
Depending on the location of the installation the corresponding Quality Control Manual
has to be used.
• For the USA the Quality Control Manual (SPB7-250.623.02.xx.24) has to be used.
• For the ROW (Rest Of The World) the Quality Control Manual (SPB7-250.623.02.xx.02)
has to be used.
Make a note in the Startup Protocol page 11 - 1, that the Quality Control Manual tests
have been performed
