3.3. System values

In the “System table” the operating parameters of the system can
be set:
GNSS distance threshold: the value given here determines
the number of kilometers you need to move the device to
send new position data to the server.
Data manager debug level: debug level of measurement
system and MQTT data transmission. The value given here
determines how much details are logged of this part:
o 0-Off: Logging is disabled
o 1-Error: Only the errors are logged (Default setting)
o 2-Debug: Main functions and errors are logged
o 3-Info: All details are logged
Modem manager debug level: debug level of mobile network
communication manager. The value given here determines
how much details are logged of this part:
o 0-Off: Logging is disabled
o 1-Error: Only the errors are logged (Default setting)
o 2-Debug: Main functions and errors are logged
o 3-Info: All details are logged
Device restart timeout: Number of seconds offline until
automatic OS restart is triggered
SIM APN: APN name of GSM provider
Ping target: Server to be pinged for connectivity check.
(Must be accessible in the given APN; 8.8.8.8 by default)
Ping response timeout: Response timeout in seconds
M2M server: M2M server address
M2M port: M2M server port number (443 by default)
3.4. MQTT and M2M
In the MQTT table, the MQTT settings can be done:
Host domain/address: The mqtt server/brokers domain.
Port: The mqtt server/brokers port number.
Connection keep alive timer: The keep alive timer defines
the maximum allowable time interval between client
messages. The timer is used by the server to check clients
connection status.
Publish topic: The data will be sent to this topic. If it is empty,
it uses the MAC address.
NOTE
If the Siemens Energy MQTT and M2M servers are used, no
settings have to be modified. Siemens Energy services settings
are set by default. (MQTT host domain / address and M2M
server address). If MQTT Publish topic is not filled, the Siemens
Energy service settings by default.
In necessary, the MQTT and M2M parameters can be set with
“Host domain/address, “Publish topic settings in the MQTT
table and M2M server and M2M Portin the System table.
Click the "Save" button to apply changes.

The default Siemens Energy service settings are the following:
MQTT host domain/address:
a1jphihn5bwus9-ats.iot.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com
Port: 8883
MQTT publish topic: default value is an empty string.
M2M server address:
m2m.sensproducts.siemens.com
