5.8.1 Options
You can set more parameters for the SICAM P under Options.
Regional settings
• Language: Here, you can select what language the device display is in when you parame-
terize it using the device buttons.
• Measured value designation: The description of the conductor on device L1/L3/L3 or A/B/
C can be selected here.
Power calculation
Here, you can select the type of power calculation and the calculation for current and voltage.
The basic setting is standard. Settings options:
• Standard: All measured values are true RMS, taking all harmonics into consideration. Cal-
culation of reactive power using methods used by traditional measuring devices. (electrody-
namics power measurement)
• DIN: All measured values are true RMS, taking all harmonics into consideration. Customized
from standard: reactive power calculation, apparent power calculation, cos φ and power fac-
tor, taking into consideration the new definition of apparent power in: DIN 40110-2.
• Fourier: All measured values calculated from the fundamental wave. Harmonics are not con-
sidered.
Direction of current
• Standard: Default setting for correct connection according to standard and back panel mark-
ing
• Inverse: Current direction is negated (change the current direction to avoid changing the
connectors).
