3.3 Counters
Metering values (e.g. kWh) are not defined in the IEC standard and there are no com-
patible data units available which are suitable for the transmission of metered values.
The private data unit 205 has been defined for the transmission of metered values
using Class 1 data format.
Only one metering value per data unit is transmitted. There exists a cyclic interval for
transmitting the counters which is set fixed to 1 min in SICAM P50.
3.3.1 ASDU
The structure of the Application Service Data Unit 205 (ASDU 205) is defined as fol-
lows:
