Ethernet Communication with Bus Protocol IEC 61850
In the Bus protocol list box select the entry IEC 61850.
The Communication Ethernet input/output window with Protocol IEC 61850 opens.

Enter the desired values into the fields and select the parameter in the list boxes as described in
Tabl e 7- 20.
If several SICAM P850/P855 devices are used in the substation, change the serial number of the
SICAM P850/P855 (factory setting 1) in the IED Name NO. field.
This number must be identical with the number parameterized for this SICAM P850/P855 in the
configurator of the substation.
After the parameterization click Send.
NOTE
The firmware SICAM P855 V2.60 supports the protocol OPC UA PubSub (MQTT) instead of IEC 61850. If you
want to select the Ethernet communication with the protocol IEC 61850, downgrade the firmware to SICAM
P855 V2.41.
NOTE
When parameterizing the IED Name in the configurator of the substation, the entered number must be five-digit
(for example 00134). By entering the IED Name, the SICAM P850/P855 is unambiguously identified in the
network.
