2.6 Application Examples for Communication with Subdevices
2.6.1 Communication of the SICAM Q100 with the SICAM I/O Unit (subdevice) via
Modbus UDP and via External Ethernet Switch with the Control System
When using a Y-cable and the internal Ethernet switch of the device, you can connect the SICAM Q100 with
the SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673. The second terminal of the Y-cable allows you to connect this device combination
to the control system using an external Ethernet switch. The following diagram shows a device wiring example
and the possible transmission protocols.
