Interfaces of communications processors
Interfaces of communication processors (CP) offer additional functionality to what is provided
by the integrated interfaces of the CPUs. CPs allow special applications, for example the
CP 1543-1 provides Industrial Ethernet security functions for protecting Industrial Ethernet
networks via its Industrial Ethernet interface.
