Commissioning
Check if the operating data correspond to the values stated on the rating plate. Do not modify
the SIMEAS-Hub in any way.
Snap the mounting device of the SIMEAS-Hub onto a DIN rail.
Connect the 10Base-T cable to the desired RJ45 (10Base-T Ports A … F) sockets.
Connect the 10Base-FL channel to the send diode and to the receive diode
using the F-SMA screw-type terminals. Please tighten the F-SMA screw-type terminals
carefully; in other cases, you may destroy the thread.
Connect the auxiliary voltage to terminals L+ and L-.
Do not energize the auxiliary voltage of the SIMEAS-Hub until all communication links are
connected.
The SIMEAS-Hub is ready to operate as soon as the auxiliary voltage is energized.
Note
For connections between two SIMEAS-Hubs you have to use crossed
cables (refer also to Ethernet connection in the Glossary).
