Differences between PROFIBUS and PROFINET
The procedure for operating the frequency inverter on PROFINET differs only slightly from
the above description for PROFIBUS. The following section covers only the key differences
between PROFIBUS and PROFINET.
Hardware components (example)
In comparison to PROFIBUS, the S7 CPU, the Control Unit of the frequency inverter and the
communication cable must be configured for PROFINET.
