Optimizing the speed control with BOP-2 or STARTER
Procedure
To optimize the speed controller, carry out the following steps:
1. Go online.
2. Set the times = 0 in the "Ramp-function generator" screen form.
3. Set pre-control = 0 in the "Speed controller" screen form.
4. Enter a setpoint step and monitor the associated actual value, e.g. using the
trace function in STARTER.
5. Optimize the controller in the "Speed controller" screen form by adjusting
controller parameters K
P
and T
N
.
6. Set the ramp-up and ramp-down times of the ramp-function generator back to
their original value.
7. Set the pre-control of the speed controller back to 100%.
1. Set the ramp-up and ramp-down times of the ramp-function generator p1120 = 0
and p1121 = 0.
2. Set the pre-control of the speed controller p1496 = 0.
3. Enter a setpoint step and observe the associated actual value.
4. Optimize the speed controller by changing controller parameters K
P
and T
N
until
the drive runs optimally.
5. Set the ramp-up and ramp-down times of the ramp-function generator p1120
and
p1121 back to their original value.
6. Set the pre-control of the speed controller p1496 = 100%.
You have optimized the speed controller.
