When traveling to a 󹪝xed stop, the fol‐
lowing applies:
You must specify the position set‐
point far enough behind the me‐
chanical 󹪝xed stop. The load must
reach the mechanical 󹪝xed stop be‐
fore the converter brakes the axis.
)
V
D
If the start of braking point is located in front of the mechanical 󹪝xed stop, the converter
cancels the travel and outputs fault F07485.
Before starting the travel, the converter calculates the traversing pro󹪝le for accelerating and
braking the axis. The selected torque limit for the 󹪝xed stop has no in󹪞uence on this calcu‐
lation. However, the torque limit for the 󹪝xed stop reduces the available drive torque for the
complete traversing distance. If the torque available for the predicted acceleration is not
su󹪟cient, then the following error is higher.
If the following error monitoring for travel to 󹪝xed stop responds, then you must reduce the
acceleration override.
Fixed stop has been reached
You have two options to de󹪝ne when the 󹪝xed stop is reached:
1. Fixed stop via an external sensor:
At the 󹪝xed stop, the load actuates an external sensor. The sensor signals the converter that
the 󹪝xed stop has been reached. Depending on the advance condition, the converter
maintains the axis at the position with the set torque or goes to the next traversing block.
2. Fixed stop using maximum following error:
If the axis comes into contact with the mechanical 󹪝xed stop, then the actual position value
remains stationary. However, the converter still increases its position setpoint. The converter
detects the 󹪝xed stop from a settable di󹪜erence between the position setpoint and position
actual value. Depending on the advance condition, the converter maintains the axis at the
position with the set torque or goes to the next traversing block.
