A change to the Windows language settings after activating know
-how protection can cause
errors for a subsequent password verifica
tion. As a consequence, only characters from the
ASCII character set should be used for the password.

Safely deleting existing unencrypted data
If unencrypted data have already been saved on the memory card bef
ore saving encrypted
data, then this data will not be safely deleted. No special deletion method is applied in order
to completely and finally remove unencrypted data from the memory card.
In this case, users must ensure that the unencrypted data are safel
y and reliably deleted, for
instance by using special PC
-based tools.

A dialog appears in which the know-how protection can be temporarily or permanently
deactivated:
Temporary deactivation:

and enter the password, accept using

Final deactivation:
